AFRICA SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE
"GIVE A MAN A FISH; FEED HIM FOR A DAY.
TEACH A MAN HOW TO FISH ; FEED HIM FOR A LIFETIME."

WHAT WE DO
Our core business is tilapia production, but we also believe that it is important to have a positive impact on the community. Therefore we started with
our farmers training program, aiming to increase the capacity of local smallholder pond farmers.
TILAPIA PRODUCTION
Our tilapia is produced with respect for society and environment under controlled conditions. This means we do not use any anti-biotics and chemicals. Therefore we can ensure the highest quality. After harvesting, the tilapia is brought to our processing area, where it is cleaned under the highest hygienic conditions and frozen per piece. Tilapia has a high protein level so it is important to have this in your weekly diet.
FARMERS TRAINING
Our community engagement project is called ’Smallholder Tilapia Pond Production’. Over the last decade many fishponds have been constructed but many of these stand idle due to lack of available fingerlings, technical expertise, a ready market and good feed for the smallholder farmers. We try to revive these potential micro-enterprises by providing quality fingerlings and feed, technical advice and training.
SUSTAINABILITY
It is important for us that we have a sustainable and positive impact on the community and the environment around our farm. Therefore, we have created our social, environmental and commercial pillars to which our company should comply.
ABOUT ASA

Our focus is on high quality tilapia production for local markets and export, thereby explicitly contributing to nutrition security, employment and capacity building.
